Mr Mohit Malpani is presently serving as Executive Director (Finance & Accounts) – DSP & ASP in SAIL. Over his distinguished career, he has held key leadership positions as Head of Finance at IISCO Steel Plant, Jharkhand Group of Mines BSL, Collieries, and Raw Materials Division, and also as CFO of SRBWIPL, a SAIL–RITES joint venture.
He has played a pivotal role in major strategic initiatives, including the financial appraisal of the 4.0 MTPA greenfield expansion project at Burnpur, the demerger of SAIL’s Raw Material Division, and the long-term pricing framework between SAIL and CIL. His expertise extends to complex commercial settlements, such as resolution of multi-decade disputes with CIL subsidiaries and JSEB, and leading turnaround strategies that restored financial health to SRBWIPL.
He has consistently championed digital transformation, knowledge upgradation, and team capability enhancement, aligning finance with strategic business objectives. Mr Malpani’s vision for SAIL focuses on financial robustness, operational efficiency, sustainable growth, and stakeholder value creation through prudent capital management, innovation, and technology integration.

Jaya Singh Panda currently serves as the Chief of Learning & Development and the Chief Diversity Officer at Tata Steel. She is a member on the Board of a JCAPCPL and is on the Board of Governors of the Board of Practical Training (BOPT), Eastern Region, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.
In her current role as Chief L&D, she is tasked with overseeing a comprehensive learning ecosystem for the company’s workforce including the contract workers working across different company locations.
She is also the Settlor of the J N Tata Vocational Training Institute (JNTVTI), a public charitable trust, that operates out of eight centres across three states. JNTVTI aims to enhance the employability and employment opportunities of the community’s youth through skill development programs.
In her role as the Chief Diversity Officer, Jaya is dedicated to advancing the company endeavours in creating a vibrant and inclusive workplace for all its employees.
Having joined Tata Steel as a Graduate Trainee in 1989, Jaya has worked across various roles – Engineering & Projects, Supply Chain, and has led the Total Quality Management function before moving to the HRM function.
Jaya holds an engineering degree from BIT Mesra and an MBA from XLRI. She is a Gold certified Business Excellence assessor and a JUSE (Japanese Union of Scientists & Engineers) certified TQM professional.

Vinaya Varma is MD & CEO of mjunction services limited.
He joined mjunction in February 2001 as a part of its founding team.
He is a B. Tech from IIT Kanpur and has completed his Advanced Management Program from IIM Calcutta. Prior to joining mjunction, Vinaya was at Tata Steel, where he was also part of several big transformational projects such as Business Process Reengineering, SAP R/3 and the launch of Tata Steel’s eCommerce portal.
Vinaya is a passionate believer in the power of eCommerce, technology and innovation in effective, efficient and transparent B2B eCommerce. He takes special interest in driving ejunction, the CSR initiative of mjunction, which provides computer literacy to 10,000+ persons annually, belonging to the disadvantaged sections of society, which helps them in finding better job opportunities.
He is a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM), USA. He is a practitioner of Theory of Constraints and has attended several sessions of ToC at Goldratt House, Tel Aviv.
Vinaya is an elected member of CII’s Eastern Regional Council since April 2020.
Beyond work, Vinaya likes to play with his dog and spends Sunday mornings tending to his collection of orchids, adeniums and bougainvillea on his terrace garden.

Syed Jawed Ahmed is Executive Director, Corporate Material Management Group, of SAIL, and is responsible for devising policies and strategies for procurement and inventory and implementing Digital Transformation across the Supply Chain. He is also a Process Owner for Materials Management, Supplier Relation Management, Projects & Logistics in SAIL S4HANA implementation.
Mr Ahmed joined SAIL in 1989 as Management Trainee at SAIL Bokaro Steel Plant and served in several capacities before assuming his current role in 2021. He is a result-oriented Materials professional with expertise in ERP & SAP with over 30 years in diverse roles.
Mr Ahmed has proven expertise in developing and implementing procurement framework for aggregation based procurement as well as optimizing sourcing – globally, regionally and locally while building talent and capabilities.
In 2023, Mr Ahmed was appointed Chairman of Indian Steel Association Procurement Committee.

Mr. Banerjee is a tenured TCSer for close to 25 years, who has held multiple technology and business roles in the organization, including managing the US Mid-West business, heading Life-Sciences & Healthcare business in US and heading the Energy and Resources Global Business Unit at a P&L level, being a part of the management team.
Currently he is heading a strategic corporate initiative as Chief Information Officer at Tata Steel Limited to consolidate the emerging Products and Platforms businesses. His roles in the organization has spanned across Heading Projects, Programs, Sales, Delivery, Operations, Business and Corporate initiative and hence helped form an all encompassed view of a large IT organization and its customers and markets.
He has been an extensive traveler across the globe and takes keen interest in ground breaking initiatives. He is actively into fitness and a mentor to the aspiring leaders in the IT industry.

Mr. Abhijeet Kumar, aged 57 years, is a Graduate in Economics from Delhi University and holds a Postgraduate degree from the Delhi School of Economics.
He has also completed a Diploma in Human Resource Development from the Academy of HRD.
He joined Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) in 1991 as a Management Trainee. He began his career with SAIL at the Bhilai Steel Plant in the Human Resources function and, in 1995, transitioned to the Marketing function at the Central Marketing Organisation (CMO), SAIL.
Over the years, Mr. Kumar has served in diverse roles across India in the Sales and Marketing domain, including positions such as Sales Executive, Regional Business Manager, Branch Manager, Regional Manager, and Exports Manager. He also had a two-year tenure with the Strategic Planning and Market Research Group of CMO, during which he was part of a strategic collaboration group with Kobe Steel.Since November 2024, he has been serving as the Executive Director – Marketing, CMO at SAIL’s Headquarters in Kolkata.
